Derek’s nephew Harrison DeYoung just had Market Day in his third grade class. It was basically for the kids to learn supply and demand in economics.
For their final project, the kids paired up and were asked to put together a project to sell to their classmates. Some made brownies, magic wands, bookmarks, etc. Harrison wanted to make small decorations using Derek’s decals on a piece of wood that can then be stood up on a desk/dresser or hung on the wall.
Then they made signs to advertise their product, decide on a price and sell their products. Harrison was excited that his project was one of the first to sell out.
In all, the class raised nearly $600, which was then donated to an organization that provides hair (in the form of wigs) for kids who are going through chemo.
