Inspiration for this painting: Several years back I spent a couple days on the Ausable River near Grayling, MI. The second afternoon, my friend Chad Brown pointed out a sneaky little slot by an undercut bank. I floated my size 16 adams along the bank, over the deepest part of the hole, and saw the biggest, and brightest brookie of the trip crush my offering.
