Derek just finished painting a logo for the Browns & Brews festival coming up in September in the small fly fishing town of Craig, Montana

Derek spent the last two days with other artists working on a mural at the Civic Center in Livingston, MT for the Yellowstone Asia Initiative. Typically spending the majority of his time working alone in his studio, this was a very interesting change of pace!

If you are in Craig, Montana next Saturday, May 17th, stop by the annual Craig Caddis Festival! Derek will be hanging out throughout the day and evening, displaying some of his original art work.  

Here is the DeYoung Brown Trout Hockey Helmet in Action. Thanks to Curtis McElhinney for sending me an autographed picture of the brown trout helmet in action. I’m sure it started a lot of fish stories with fellow hockey players.
